Ohio School District Threatens to Punish Students for ‘Misgendering’ — Fed-Up Parents Fight Back

No Bible-believing Christian nor cultural conservative should ever refer to a man as “she” or “her,” no matter how much make-up he’s wearing, how long his wig, or how short his dress.

No rational person should cave to an individual’s sexual fantasies and go along with the “pronoun” trend. Parents ought to be teaching their children this as well.

But government schools are not only pushing this insidious indoctrination, they are threatening to retaliate against students for saying what is essentially the equivalent of 2+2=4.

Parents and all the rest of us taxpayers will not stand for it. The cultural rot has to be arrested where it festers — and right now.

Parents have sued the Olentangy Local School District in Ohio for allegedly threatening to punish students who “intentionally” refuse to participate in the “transgender” pronoun farce.

According to the Daily Caller News Foundation, Parents Defending Education (PDE), an advocacy group, filed a lawsuit against the district on behalf of concerned parents. An excerpt (emphasis added):

The district’s Personal Communication Devices Policy prohibits students from using their cell phone or laptop, whether on or off campus, to send any messages that may be viewed as “harassment” of others based on their race, sex, “transgender identity” and political beliefs.

The district, through its attorneys, allegedly confirmed to parents that its policies prohibit students from intentionally using the wrong pronouns when addressing someone, or “misgendering” them, the lawsuit stated. This violation is subject to punishment, the district allegedly told parents.

Under this ridiculous and blatantly unconstitutional policy, the school could confiscate students’ property or even kick them out of the school.

“The ‘harassment’ policies at Olentangy impinge on basic constitutional rights and are over broad in a way that polices students’ speech both inside and outside of the classroom,” PDE vice president Caroline Moore told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We feel deeply for what these students and their families have gone through day in and day out during their time in the District. We look forward to championing their First Amendment rights.”
