The Republican 'War On Women' Is Played Out

Another tried-and-true tactic straight from the dog-eared pages of the Democratic playbook has expired right along with their “racist” card. It happened during a debate Thursday night in New York-23 when the Democratic challenger accused the Republican incumbent of being “part of the war against women.”

Democrat Martha Robertson had thirty seconds to pose a question to Tom Reed during one segment of the debate:

“Thank you. Tom, you’re part of the war against women. You’ve supported continued…”

At this point her comments were drowned out by groans and laughter. It was a non-sensical accusation to anyone with local knowledge of Reed. He has a reputation for being respectful and thoughtful, both in his demeanor and in consideration of legislation.

Robertson was once considered a prime “Red to Blue” prospect to flip the Republican seat. However, she has a long list of self-inflicted troubles in her campaign against Reed which have resulted in lost credibility. This latest gaffe has made Robertson irrelevant in this race.
