Sheryl Lee Ralph Doesn’t Talk Politics with Jon Voight

If you follow news about who is or isn’t a conservative in Hollywood, you know that actor Jon Voight is no liberal.

Voight openly opposes liberalism, and he isn’t shy about criticizing President Barack Obama. He plays the lead character’s father on a Showtime series called Ray Donovan. Actress and Broadway veteran Sheryl Lee Ralph plays a recurring character called Claudette. She recently appeared on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and talked about a musical she’s producing, “Mighty Real.”

Married to a liberal state senator, Ralph said she doesn’t talk politics with her conservative co-star.

“All we do is just work. All we do is make that onscreen magic. We don’t talk about each other’s personal lives because that might create a different kind of magic. Don’t ask me how I turned into his ride or die chick or how I turned into the love of his life, but it’s for real.”

Apparently, Ralph plays Voight’s love interest (or former love interest) on the show. I commend her for avoiding politics. Some people walk around with their shoulders piled with chips, looking to challenge people who hold views different from their own, especially conservative views.
