Colorado baker Jack Phillips believes marriage is the God-ordained union of one man and one woman and won’t bake cakes for homosexual “weddings.” The owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop also won’t bake cakes for Halloween or any other ceremony or event he deems in conflict with his faith.
After Phillips declined to bake a cake for an event that mocks marriage, two homosexuals filed a complaint against him for discrimination.
The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear his case after Colorado’s so-called human rights commission and a court ruled against him, and the state’s highest court refused to hear his arguments.
Neither cared about protecting his rights.
A group of Christians held a press conference on Monday to support Phillips. They also created a web site, #WeGotYourBackJack. Watch the brief clip to hear from Dean Nelson, co-founder of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, Day Gardner, founder and president of The National Black Pro-Life Union, Star Parker, founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, and others.
