When my team and I visited pastors in Chicago to talk about the violence that plagues our distressed communities, we were able to speak with many of them on camera.
In this brief interview with Matt Waters, CURE’s Senior Director of Development, Pastor Caesar LeFlore from South Side, Chicago, said our country needs a spiritual awakening.
As we work to bring pastors to Washington, DC, including Pastor LeFlore, we aim to show how our nations’ public policies and our spirituality are intertwined. When we show pastors from distressed communities how policies in Congress are connected with the spirituality in our pews, many pastors wake up and begin to speak up. Our pastors matter. And that’s our goal.
