What Dallas Police Officers Did for This Woman and Her Son

A woman who took her children to the Black Lives Matter protest where a man murdered five police officers last week has a different story to tell.

Shetamia Taylor, who was shot in the leg, laid on top of her son as the bullets flew. One police officer covered her with his body, and others were all around her, protecting her and her son. Taylor saw two officers shot.

“I’m so thankful,” Taylor said. “Thank you for being heroes.”
