Will Tax Reform Increase Growth and Bring Back Off-Shore Money?

Ken Blackwell is confident that the U.S. Senate will pass a tax bill by the end of the weekend. What he’s less confident about is congressional leadership having the discipline to rein in proposals and modifications to the bill, which could radically change its character.

Blackwell, who was on the Trump transition team, recently appeared on Newsmax to discuss this issue. One of his co-hosts said the tax reform bill would raise the federal deficit by billions and shift “the wealth in our country only up.”

But Blackwell said the tax reform bill is a “growth-oriented proposal,” and that President Donald Trump understands the nature of capital.
