A nurse at an abortion clinic wasn’t supposed to let Tess Watley hear her baby’s heartbeat. She was there to end a life. But once she heard that life inside her, she changed her mind.
“My son has been so much joy to me…when I look at him, I just can’t believe that I was going to kill somebody so precious that’s a whole generation of me,” Watley said about her now six-year-old child. “And I’m so thankful to that nurse for giving me the opportunity to change my mind and have my baby. And it’s been such a joy…there’s days I just lay in bed and watch him sleep.”
Watley said it’s hard, but don’t kill your baby.
Watley stars in the upcoming movie, Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer, based on abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who’s serving life in prison for murdering three babies born alive after botched abortion attempts. He was also convicted of involuntary manslaughter after a patient died during a procedure.
Filmmakers Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer began raising funds for the movie in 2014 after Gosnell’s conviction. Dean Cain and Nick Searcy star in the film, and Searcy also directed it. Gosnell is scheduled for release in October.
Watley had more to say. Watch the brief clip.
