Several conservatives have challenged Democratic congressional primary candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a socialist who beat incumbent Joe Crowley, to a debate.
Candace Owens is one of those challengers. She said Ocasio-Cortez has ignored her so far. A TV station even offered to sponsor the debate. Owens said she thinks Ocasio-Cortez “doesn’t understand the platform upon which she stands,” and that it would “make sense for her to come forward and defend her ideas. But of course, her ideas do not make sense beyond on the paper, the utopian concepts that she preaches.”
