Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson didn’t like actor Jussie Smollett’s “publicity stunt”, faking a “hate” crime and blaming two white Trump supporters.
The state prosecutor dropped all criminal charges against Smollett on Tuesday (despite a Grand Jury indictment), and the government will expunge his record. The government also sealed the records in the case.
Sources tell CBS2 Chicago Police Supt. Johnson is “furious.”

Needless to say, Superintendent Johnson is not a happy man. He still believes Smollett perpetrated a hoax.
The prosecutor who dropped the case also believes Smollett lied about the “hate” attack. Why was the deal cut in secret and the records sealed? The prosecutor sounded nervous as he answered a reporter’s questions.

The FBI is still investigating the “hate” letter containing ground-up ibuprofen, which Smollett likely sent himself.
