Star Parker Joins Daily Wire Documentary on Roe v. Wade

The Daily Wire on Friday released a new documentary examining the devastating consequences of Roe v. Wade and the lies told by the abortion industry. The documentary, titled “Choosing Death: The Legacy of Roe,” features a host of prominent pro-life advocates, including Star Parker, Founder and President of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE).

The documentary provides a comprehensive understanding of the horrific history of the abortion industry, including the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger.

“The worst thing that could have happened to Black life is Margaret Sanger,” said Parker. “What has happened to African-American communities as a result of Margaret Sanger’s plan to interject abortion in a very vulnerable, poor community has unraveled our family life.”

Parker, who has passionately fought for the sanctity of unborn life for decades, speaks in the documentary to the direct impact abortion has had on the Black community.

“Most people don’t appreciate that, by the 60’s, Black family life was still relatively healthy.” Parker said. “Seventy-eight percent of Black husbands were in their homes, with their wives and raising their children. You fast-forward, after they’ve interjected welfare state policies and abortion, and now we’re looking at 75 percent of Black children born outside of marriage.”

Parker is joined by other pro-life advocates such as Abby Johnson, Lila Rose, and Tara Lee. The documentary was initially set to premiere this June, but following the shocking leak of a Supreme Court draft opinion by Justice Samuel Alito, the Daily Wire decided to release the documentary sooner.

As the founder and president of CURE, a strongly pro-life organization that highlights the tragedy of abortion in the black community each year with the Impact of Abortion on the Black Community Report, Parker notes in the documentary many of the issues experienced in the Black community today tie back to the sinister plan of Margaret Sanger.

“The low educational rates, the high crime rates, the abortion rates, the welfare rates, the age rates – everything ill is hitting this particular population simply because of Margaret Sanger’s plan to annihilate this population, their families, and make sure they did not have success in this country,” Parker said.

CURE is a policy and research center dedicated to fighting poverty and restoring dignity through messages of faith, freedom and personal responsibility. CURE seeks free-market solutions to provide education, employment, healthcare and the opportunity for black families to grow and their communities to flourish.
