Islamic State fighters seized an US weapons cache that was airdropped by the United States for Kurdish fighters. The cache included ammunition, hand grenades, and rocket-propelled grenade launchers.
ISIS released a video of the showing the weapons cache, British media reporting that they may have seized several. Islamic State loyalists and supporters posted thank you notes to the United States via social media.
The United States continues its airstrikes on the Islamic State, four airstrikes conducted in Syria on Monday and Tuesday as well as three attacks in Iraq. The airstrikes in Kobani, Syria reportedly destroyed several ISIS positions and an Islamic State Unit.
The US Defense Department is investigating the video footage.
