The Washington Post claimed that President Donald Trump revealed classified information to Russia’s ambassador and foreign minister during a White House meeting last week.
The president said he had an absolute right as president to reveal what was discussed.
H.R. McMaster, National Security Agency Adviser, backed him up. McMaster answered questions about the matter at a press conference on Tuesday and cleared up confusion caused by the news story.
McMaster wouldn’t talk about what was classified but told the media that the President Trump had a “wholly appropriate” conversation with the foreign officials. Listen to the rest of his response:
