What This Formerly Devout Muslim Is Doing Now

The power of God knows no bounds, and it’s all to His glory.

A man was lost, unrepentant. Now he’s part of the body of Christ.

“Shahid” was a devout Muslim who grew up in Libya.

“As every Libyan, when I was a little boy, I used to go to the Koranic school,” he said. “Islam was completely exposed with its hidden reality. Little by little, I had serious concerns about Islam.”

Shahid became an atheist. Then he heard the Gospel on a Christian station and learned about Christ. “We studied how to live with Christ, fellowship with Him, and be part of the Church.” After he became saved, he was on fire. “I couldn’t keep my mouth shut. I had to share Jesus with others.”

Now Shahid is sharing the Gospel. And more.

Two years after leaving Islam, Leading The Way says Shahid has planted 11 churches across North Africa and Europe and is baptizing Muslim converts. (Screengrab via CBN News)

Shahid recently shared a picture with Leading The Way showing him baptizing new converts to Christianity on the same shores of North Africa where the Islamic terror group ISIS beheaded 21 Coptic Christians in February 2015.

Christ said that He is the only way to the Father. Regardless of what religion someone purports to be, if he’s not a follower of Christ, he is not worshiping the God of the Bible.
