Star Parker, founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, spoke at Liberty University’s Convocation on Friday.
Her segment begins at around 35:58. In a video shown before her speech, Star talked about her former life of crime, drug abuse, abortions, and her redemption.
Did you know that Star is scheduled to speak at the University of California at Berkeley in April? Yes, the same school where liberals rioted on the day Milo Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak. The school ended up canceling the event.
“As you notice,” Star said, referring to the video of her story, “I bought all of the lies of the left. I bought that lie that the poor are poor, because the rich are rich. I bought that lie that my problems were somebody else’s fault. I bought that lie that America was so inherently racist, I didn’t need to mainstream. And that’s one of the reasons, or all of the reasons, perhaps, that I started spiraling downhill, right into that little dark hole that God saved me from.”
Abortion is a crime against humanity, Star said. America shouldn’t be doing it or exporting it around the world. Some Twitter reactions to Star’s speech:
What a pleasure it was hearing from Star Parker in convocation today. Pray for her as she goes and speaks at Berkeley @UrbanCURE
