On Saturday, the so-called Black Lives Matter crowd in New York City protested against what they call police brutality. Sheriff David Clarke recently said on Fox News that he doesn’t know why the police even bother policing these demonstrations.
“Those people advocate for the overthrow of our legally constituted government. Let them fend for themselves. Let the good law-abiding people of New York clash with them for disrupting their lives, disrupting their businesses. Then the police can show up and arrest these sub-human creeps for creating a disturbance.”
Former homicide detective Rod Wheeler said the police protecting the protesters were taking a lot of verbal abuse. He said the black officer murdered last week hasn’t even been eulogized yet and “these people are out there talking about ‘death to the cops,’ so I think it’s ridiculous, and I wish that the politicians would speak up a little bit more…” Wheeler believes the protesters get their energy from some of the liberal politicians.
President Barack Obama implied that people are protesting because of police brutality.
There is no police brutality, the sheriff said. America ended that back in the 1960s.
“The president of the United States knows better. He’s playing the race game…Shame on him. He’s been very divisive to this country.” Sheriff Clarke added that he can’t wait until the nightmare is over.
